A PROTECTIVE TECHNIQUE developed by the American psychologist Henry Murray containing ambiguous and vague drawings (usually of one or two human figures) about each of which the subject has to make up a story. The themes that may emerge from these stories are then used to diagnose areas of emotional conflict or concern in the subject.
