Rosenthal effect

A form of EXPERINENTER BIAS or SELF-FULFILLING PROPHECY in a social setting, suggested by Robert Rosenthal. Rosenthal led a group of teachers to believe that certain children in their classes had high IQs and were expected to do well in the year ahead. The children did do well though they were all in fact of average IQ.
